About Us
The National Council of Jewish Women was founded in 1893, as a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families, and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
The Palm Beach Section of NCJW was established in 1975. NCJW is actively engaged in advocacy and education and is recognized as a leader in the community. NCJW has established numerous partnerships with organizations working to achieve mutual goals.
NCJW embraces Jewish women of diverse backgrounds – thinkers and doers who want to play a part at the local, national and even global level. Inspired by Jewish values, these women come together with courage, determination and commitment to foster positive social change for the generations to come. Nationally, NCJW’s network of more than 90,000 members and supporters put these ideals into action to make the world a better place.
Throughout its 118-year history, NCJW has documented a profound commitment to improving the quality of life for women, children and families. To this end, the Palm Beach Section has created unique programs and has joined with its coalition partners to build on larger issues in our community.
